Before arranging boarding, ask the provider which species they accept, what information they need and how they assess suitability. Confirm the actual care location and arrangements directly; a registered office is not necessarily a boarding facility.
Bring the current feeding routine, relevant veterinary instructions, handling considerations and owner and veterinary contact details into one readable record. Agree who can make decisions if circumstances change, and how the provider should contact you.
Walk through any unclear instructions together. If health or biosecurity requirements are uncertain, ask the provider and your veterinary practice before moving the animal. This is a planning guide, not a substitute for advice tailored to your animal.
